Little Women (若草物語 Wakakusa Monogatari) is an anime special originally released on May 3, 1980. It was produced by Toei Animation and directed by Yugo Serikawa. It is an adaptation of the classic novel by Louisa May Alcott. This special was the predecessor to the 1981 anime series. In the United States, the film was edited and distributed by Harmony Gold and distributed on video by Vestron Video.
