Liar, Liar is a 2023 romantic comedy anime series based on the light novel with the same name written by Haruki Kuō and illustrated by konomi. First Published on April 25, 2019 by Kadokawa under their MF Bunko J label with the final volume 15th volume published on November 25, 2023. It's licensed by Yen Press to translate the light novel series and has published the first volume on September 5, 2023. On August 27, 2019, the light novel series received a manga adaptation with the art being illustrated by Funa Yukina in the Monthly Comic Alive magazine under the MF Comic Alive Series label by Kadokawa. It published its first volume on April 23, 2020.
The anime series is directed by both Satoru Ono and Naoki Matsuura, and it was animated Geek Toys. It originally aired in Japan on Tokyo MX from July 8, 2023 to September 23, 2023. Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on their streaming service on July 22, 2023[1][2].
Synopsis
A mind game of lies and deceit begins! At Academy Island, students battle in Games to win stars, hoping to earn the prestigious title “Seven Star.” Sarasa is last year’s champion and is on track to win again until Hiroto, a new transfer student, hits the scene.
