LazyTown (Latibær in Icelandic) is an Icelandic children's television series created by the Icelandic athlete Magnús Scheving (who also stars as Sportacus) and produced by LazyTown Entertainment. It is based upon a children's book from 1991 titled Áfram Latibær! (Let's Go Lazytown!)
Background[]
While the series itself was a pre-lay production for the most part; various bits of dialogue had been redubbed. The character of Pixel had been performed by a few different puppeteers throughout the series, much of their dialogue would later be redubbed with Nick Jr. announcer Kobie Powell. However, in the iTunes release of the episode "Defeeted", Noel MacNeal, who performed as Pixel for that episode, can be heard as Pixel's voice instead. For unknown reasons, Powell would stop voicing Pixel during the second half of Season 2, replacing him for the rest of that season would be Sesame Street cast member Chris Knowings.
In addition, there is a UK dub, as with many other preschool shows. Sarah Burgess and Julie Westwood, who worked in the original US/Icelandic production, both provide the UK voice for Stingy, Burgess during the first two seasons and Westwood during the final two seasons.
To add to that, the unaired test pilot (with Shelby Young as Stephanie) had Sportacus dubbed over by a different actor as Magnus Scheving's Icelandic accent was possibly considered hard to understand. The puppets were also dubbed over by different actors. The names of the actors who dubbed over Sportacus and the puppets are unknown. They are presumed to be either Icelandic actors doing American accents or New York-based voice actors (as Nick Jr. produces much of its content in the New York City area). The actor dubbing over Sportacus sounds similar to Richard Ian Cox, but Cox was Vancouver-based and is possibly out of the question.

Trivia[]
- As you can see, the four puppet kids are the only ones who got their voices re-dubbed in the show's UK broadcast. Everyone else retains their original voices. Thus, songs are barely re-dubbed except for The Mine Song.
- Despite Chris Knowings taking on the role of Pixel after episode 43, episodes 48 and 51 still credit Kobie Powell in the role.
- During the final two seasons, Ron Binion's on-set performance as Pixel would be retained.
