Kemono Jihen

Kemono Jihen is a 2021 anime based on the manga series by Shō Aimoto. It was serialized and published in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine on December 2, 2016.

The anime series was announced on December 21, 2019^[1]. It was animated by Ajia-do Animation Works, directed by Masaya Fujimori, and tt ran in Japan from January 10, 2021 to March 28, 2021, consisting of 12 episodes. Funimation licensed the series, while Kocha Sound produced the English Dub, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service on May 23, 2021^[2].

Synopsis

When a series of animal bodies rotting after a single night start turning up in a remote mountain town, Inugami, a Tokyo detective who specializes in the occult, is called in to investigate. While working on the case, he befriends a strange boy who works in the fields every day instead of going to school. Shunned by his peers and nicknamed "Dorotabo" after a yokai who lives in the mud, he helps Inugami uncover the truth behind the murders, but there are supernatural forces at work, and while Dorotabo is just a nickname, he may don't be the only one. about the boy who is not human.
