Dubbing Wikia

Masked Rider DCD, known in Japan as Kamen Rider Decade (仮面ライダーカブト, Kamen Raidā Decade), is the 19th installment in the Kamen Rider metaseries. It is a joint collaboration between Ishimori Productions and Toei Company. In Japan, it has aired for 31 episodes on TV Asahi from January 25, 2009 and finished August 30, 2009.

This is the first installment of the 2009 editions of the long-running series. As the title suggests, Decade is the tenth of the Heisei Rider special anniversary Series, that started off with Kamen Rider Kuuga and it's also the last installment towards the first phase of the Heisei era of the franchise.

This series made its' debut after the 18th series Kamen Rider Kiva, which was seemingly skipped from being dubbed in English, due to the vampire motif.

Synopsis

Natsumi Hikari has repeatedly been having dreams of the Rider War, where every single Rider from the Heisei-era attack one being, a warrior known as "Decade." In reality, she lives with Tsukasa Kadoya, a young man who doesn't seem to be able to call Hikari Studio home. One day, monsters from different dimensions begin to attack people, with the world starting to fall in chaos. Tsukasa, who had been separated from Natsumi, meets the mysterious Wataru Kurenai, who informs Tsukasa about his title as Kamen Rider Decade, the Destroyer of Worlds. Discovering that the nine universes of the Kamen Riders from the Heisei-era are merging into one, which would result in the collapse of multiverse, Tsukasa inherits the mission of traveling across these worlds to eliminate the anomaly in each, while embarking on a journey to find one world where he can call home.

Trivia[]

  • Samurai Sentai Shinkenger by itself, was not dubbed in English, as most countries outside of Asia showed its' adaptation being Power Rangers Samurai. However, the crossover episodes that involved the team, were dubbed in English, making it the very first time that Kamen Rider teamed up with its' sister franchise Super Sentai. In addition, it's the first time that a Super Sentai team post-Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, appeared in English dubbed media. [2]
