Jeff Manning (born April 23, 1956), also credited as Jeffrey Manning is an American voice actor and narrator based in Japan. He is primarily known for his work on the English dub of Iron Chef as the voice of Ohta, as well as roles in several video games, and voice-overs on numerous television commercials. He previously worked for Mickey's Company, an agency based in Japan (as credited in the original Super Smash Bros). He now works for Triple Sun Talent, another agency based in Japan.

Biography[]

Jeff Manning was born in Utah, and graduated from Brigham Young University (BYU). Manning first visited Japan as a church missionary at the age of 19 in 1975. He fell in love with Japan, upon returning home to Utah, he got, as he put it, "homesick" for Japan. He returned to Japan in 1983, becoming a permanent resident.

Since then, Manning has been active in both Japanese and English-language materials, including English teaching materials, documentaries, animation, video games and advertising. He can speak Japanese fluently. His hobbies are playing tennis, guitar, traveling, and antique collecting.
