Itaru Yamamoto (山本 格 Yamamoto Itaru, born October 4) is a Japanese former voice actor from Niigata Prefecture, Japan. He was affiliated with I'm Enterprise.
Biography[]
He graduated from the Bungakuza Theater Research Institute and Eizo Techno Academia. He was affiliated with I'm Enterprise from April 1, 2010, to September 14, 2024.
He has a teaching license. His major is English, but when he took the Niigata teacher recruitment exam, after the first day's written exam he went to the interview venue on the second day, and all the other applicants were studying in the waiting room, so he sat there doing nothing, thinking, "Why are you studying when the written exam is over? Today is just the interview, right?" When the interview began, the interviewer asked him all of his questions in English, and he was unable to understand most of what was being said, not knowing that it was an English interview. He had not prepared for the mock lesson that followed, so he was unable to answer any of the questions, and feeling embarrassed, he asked, "Is it okay?" and ended the interview himself. Naturally, he received the lowest grade of C on the exam.
He's good friends with Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. When the voice acting industry took a long break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he asked Matsuoka, "Why don't you come back to FF14?" and forced him to buy an expensive gaming PC. As a result, he and Matsuoka got permission from their agency manager and started a YouTube channel called "Matsuoka Yoshitsugu & Yamamoto Masahiro's Game Commentary Temporary Members" during the COVID-19 self-restraint period.
On September 14, 2024, I'm Enterprise ended its management contract with Yamamoto due to a "acknowledged serious breach of contract". Yamamoto is no longer working in the entertainment industry.[1]
