Isekai Quartet is a 2019 anime series. The series is a comedic crossover between four light novel series: Konosuba! God's Blessing on This Wonderful World, Overlord, Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World- and Saga of Tanya the Evil. Two more series (The Rising of the Shield Hero and Cautious Hero: The Hero is Overpowered but Overly Cautious) were added in the second season.

The anime series was Studio Puyukai, directed by Minoru Ashina, and it premiered its first season in Japan from April 9, 2019 to June 25, 2019, consisting of 12 episodes. The second season of the anime aired from January 14, 2020 and March 31, 2020, consisting of 12 episodes. Funimation produced a SimulDub of the series, which premiered on the FunimationNow streaming service on April 23, 2019. The SimulDub of the second season premiered on January 28, 2020. In the second season, Central Command Studios was used for the actors from Los Angeles.

Synopsis

  • While the majority of the voice actors from the previous series featured in this anime do came back to reprise their roles as their characters, some of them got recast:
    • Anthony Bowling replaced Robbie Daymond as Vanir (who is from Konosuba) for unknown reasons despite the fact that Daymond returned in this series as Reinhard van Astrea.
    • Jeremy Inman replaced Imari Williams as Ruffian (who is from Konosuba) for the second of the first season onwards for unknown reasons.
