The series originally aired in Japan between June 11, 2008 and August 27, 2008, consisting of 12 episodes. The series was originally licensed by Media Blasters, who also released the second season Ikki Tousen: Dragon Destiny, but later lost the license. Notes[]

  • For the English language dub, FUNimation contracted the majority of the dubbing to New Generation Pictures in Los Angeles so that the voice actors for the original anime's dub could reprise their roles, whilst DuArt was kept for characters who were introduced in the prior series, resulting in a bi-coastal dub.
