I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss is a 2022 anime series based on the novel series with the same name written by Sarasa Nagase. The novel was serialized from May of 2017 to August 2019. The light novel series adaptation of the novel series is written by Sarasa Nagase, and illustrated by Mai Murasaki, and started serializing on September 1, 2017. The manga adaptation of the series written by the same author, but illustrated by Anko

The anime was announced on October 1, 2021. It was animated by Maho Film, directed by Kumiko Habara, and it premiered in Japan from October 1, 2022 to December 17, 2022, consisting of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English dub of the series, which the dub premiered on their streaming service on October 15, 2022[1].

Synopsis

"I'm breaking off my engagement to you."

Suddenly hearing those words while attending a resplendent party shocks Aileen Lauren Dautriche into remembering her previous life, and she comes to understand her situation. She is in the world of the otome game "Regalia of Saints, Demons, and Maidens" as the villainess, Aileen, who gets in the way of the main character's romance! According to memories from her previous life, Aileen's only route in the game is a one of doom that leads to a messy death. But if she makes the last boss, the demon king Claude, fall for her, then she might be able to avoid doom after all! Thinking that, she declares to the beautiful demon king:

"I would like you to marry me!"

Aileen's journey to turn things around and find happiness is about to begin!
