I'm in Love with the Villainess is a 2023 anime series based on the light novel with the same name written by Inori and illustrated by Hanagata. It was published by Ainaka Publishing for digital release under their GL Bunko imprint and Ichijinsha for paperback release under their Ichijinsha Novels imprint from February 26, 2019 to August 26, 2021, with a total of 5 volumes. The original web novel of the series was published by Shōsetsuka ni Narō from January 14, 2018 to February 21, 2021. The manga version of the series was illustrated by Aonoshimo, and was serialized in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime magazine on June 18, 2020.
The anime series was announced on December 13, 2022. It was animated by Platinum Vision, diretced by Hideaki Ōba, series composition by Ayumu Hisao, composed by both Noriyuki Asakura & Usagi to Uma, and it premiered in Japan from October 3, 2023 to December 19, 2023, consisting of 12 episodes. Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English SimulDub of the series, which premiered on their streaming service on the same day of the anime's release on October 2, 2023.[1][2]
Synopsis
Ordinary office worker Ohashi Rei wakes up in the body of the protagonist of her favorite otome game, Revolution.
