Lovegren, Sue Bea Montgomery, and Preston Stutzman.

Synopsis

Little Red Riding Hood, the Wolf, the Woodsman, and Granny all tell the police the events that led up to their encounter.

Dubbing History[]

The film's voice cast originally featured mostly regular voice artists and was slated for a straight-to-video release in 2005 until The Weinstein Company obtained the distribution rights to the film. They opted to release the film theatrically and decided to recast several roles with celebrities to give the film more marketing value. The change was so far into the production of the film that the replacement voice actors had to dub over pre-existing animation. The only main cast members to keep their roles were Patrick Warburton as The Wolf, David Ogden Stiers as Nicky Flippers, and Andy Dick as Boingo.

It is currently unknown where the original audio is today, or even if it still exists.

Notes[]

  • Benjy Gaither, who voiced Japeth the Goat in the final film, also came close to losing his role but was kept for unknown reasons. Similarly, Joshua J. Greene, who voiced Jimmy Lizard, was also considered for recasting, but ultimately kept the role in the final film.
  • The Weinstein brothers also insisted on shortening the songs of the film, fearing audiences would get bored by them. However, most of the cuts were included on the DVD as a special feature. These cuts included:
    • An extra verse in "Great Big World", which took place between when Red was lifted by the birds over the river and stopping on the cliff.
    • A small five-second segment of "Be Prepared".
    • The second verse of Kurt's "Schnitzel Song", which showed Kurt tap dancing to the children and the children throwing their schnitzel sticks in the air in celebration.
    • An addition verse to "Tree Critter" before the ski race.
