Hamtaro (とっとこハム太郎 Tottoko Hamutarō) is a Japanese anime series based on the manga of the same name by Ritsuko Kawai. The series focuses on a hamster named Hamtaro who has a variety of adventures with other hamsters, known as "Ham-Hams". The series was produced by TMS Entertainment and aired on TV Tokyo from July 7, 2000 to March 31, 2006.

The English dub of the series was licensed by Viz Media in North America with the English dub produced by Ocean Productions. Hamtaro premiered on Cartoon Network's Toonami block on June 3, 2002 and ended its run on October 4, 2002. Only the first 105 episodes were dubbed, only 52 of which aired in the United States.
