Halo Legends (ヘイロー・レジェンズ) is a collection of seven animated short films set in the Halo universe. Funded by 343 Industries, the supervising company of the Halo franchise, the stories were created by six Japanese animation studios: BONES, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation. Shinji Aramaki, creator and director of the movie Appleseed and its sequel Appleseed: Ex Machina, worked as creative director of the project. Warner Bros. released Halo Legends on DVD and Blu-ray on February 16, 2010.
