Hakumei and Mikochi

Hakumei and Mikochi (ハクメイとミコチ) is a 2018 anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Takuto Kashiki. It was serialized and published in Enterbrain's Harta magazine in 2011.

The anime series was announced on August 6, 2017.^[1] It was animated by Lerche, directed by Masaomi Andō, series composition by Reiko Yoshida, music composed by Evan Call, and it premiered in Japan from January 12 to March 30, 2018, consisting of 12 episodes.

Sentai Filmworks produced an English dub of the series, which premiered on HIDIVE's streaming service on HIDIVE's streaming service on March 18, 2019.^[2]^[3] The Blu-Ray of the series was released a day later on March 19, 2019.

Synopsis

While Hakumei is cheerful, outgoing and prefers to be outside, Mikochi is more introverted and prefers to stay indoors. These differences will set the tone for their friendship. They are just 9 centimeters tall, but these little fairies will have adventures riding on insects and birds, creating tools from the forest and living their normal lives. They’ll show us how day to day chores can be the biggest adventure in a small world full of wonders.
