God Eater (ゴッドイーター Goddo Ītā) is the anime adaptation of the God Eater video game series. It is animated by Ufotable and began airing on July 12th, 2015 after a one-week delay. On September 27th, 2015 it was announced that the final four episodes would be broadcast during the winter anime season, resuming on March 5th, 2016. The series broadcast concluded on March 26th, 2016.

While majority of the voice actors from the games reprised their roles there were some that were replaced:
- Crispin Freeman replaced Yuri Lowenthal as Soma Schicksal due to unavailability
- Lucien Dodge replaced Johnny Yong Bosch as Kōta Fujiki.
- Cherami Leigh replaced Kate Higgins as Alisa Illinichina Amiella
- Erika Harlacher replaced Laura Bailey and Brina Palencia as Hibari Takeda, after the former stopped regularly appearing in dubs and the latter mostly due to scheduling conflicts and being mostly based in Dallas.
