Go Hugo Go (Jungledyret) is a Danish animated film produced by A. Film A/S. In 2005, Miramax released an English dub of the film that made a number of censorship cuts and alterations to the dialogue.
Synopsis
The cute little jungle creature Hugo is one of his kind. Wanted by a millionaires wife as a pet, he travels to Copenhagen. Here he meets the street fox Rita. Together they try to avoid all dangers of the big city.
The closing credits for the English dub of both films have a 1998 copyright date. For unknown reasons, they were not released until 2005. The credits also show that CINAR served as a co-producer, but by the time the films were released, CINAR had gone defunct and turned into Cookie Jar Entertainment.
The film had some content which might be considered unsuitable by United States viewers, considering the films are mainly directed to children. Because of this, Miramax made several edits and cuts when dubbing the films to English.
