Gate Keepers (ゲートキーパーズ, Gēto Kīpāzu) is an anime television series directed by Junichi Sato and Koichi Chigara and produced by GONZO. It is based on the video game of the same name. The anime aired in Japan from April 3, 2000 to September 18, 2000 on cable network WOWOW. Geneon Entertainment licensed the anime and released it on home video from 2001 to 2002.
Synopsis
1969. Strange invaders threaten Japan's recovery from the devastation of World War II with a shocking form of guerilla warfare. Fortunately, a new type of hero has been discovered among the teenage population of Japan - the Gatekeepers! Able to channel "gates" to other dimensions, this new generation of heroes is the only thing standing between Earth and total annihilation!
