Fullmetal Alchemist is a Japanese dark fantasy science fiction adventure film based on the manga series by Hiromu Arakawa. It premiered in New York on November 19, 2017 and was released in Japan on December 1, 2017. It also began streaming on Netflix with an English dub on February 19, 2018.

Synopsis Edward and Alphonse Elric are two brothers who live in a small town in a country called Amestris. After being abandoned by their father, their mother dies of a terminal illness and they are both left alone. Edward attempts to resurrect his mother using alchemy, but the attempt fails. As a result, he loses his leg and Alphonse loses his body. Thus they begin a journey to try to recover what they lost, in the hope that the mystical philosopher's stone can help them.
