Fire Force (炎炎ノ消防隊, En'en no Shōbōtai, literally "Blazing Firefighting Corps") is a 2019 anime series based on the manga of the same name written and illustrated by Atsushi Ohkubo, the creator behind the acclaimed Soul Eater. It was serialized and published in Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine from September 23, 2015 to February 22, 2022, with a total of 34 volumes.
The anime series was announced on November 2018.[1] It was animated overall by David Production, and composed by Kenichiro Suehiro. The first season was directed by Yuki Yase, series composition by Yamato Haijima, and premiered in Japan from from July 5, 2019 to December 27, 2019, consisting of 24 episodes.
A second season was announced in December 2019[2], with it being directed and series composition by Tatsuma Minamikawa, and it aired from July 4, 2020 to December 12, 2020, consisting of 24 episodes.
The third and final season was announced in May 2022[3] and is divided into two cours. The first cour premiered on April 4, 2025 and the second cour's premiering in January 2026.[4]
The series is licensed for home video and streaming by FUNimation Entertainment in the United States, which premiered the English Dub as a simuldub on the same day of release.[5][6] The second season's English Dub premiered as a simuldub on their streaming service on July 3, 2020.[7] The third season's English Dub was produced by Crunchyroll, which premiered on their streaming service on April 18, 2025.[8]
