Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) is a Spanish television crime drama created by Alex Pina.

Originally premiered on Anthena 3 in 2017 and released worldwide by Netflix on December 20, 2017.

Dubbing History[]

A month after the first run of La Casa de Papel on the Spanish TV channel Antena 3 had ended in November 2017, Netflix acquired the global streaming rights for the series. It re-cut and dubbed the episodes and renamed the show Money Heist for distribution in the English-speaking world, releasing the first part on December 20, 2017 and the second part on April 6, 2018.

Following the show's success on the streaming platform, Netflix approached Álex Pina and Spanish media group Atresmedia to produce new chapters of the series. Netflix officially renewed the series for a third part on April 18, 2018.

With Netflix's new push to improve the quality and appeal of its English-language versions of foreign shows Netflix hired a new dubbing studio at VSI Los Angeles for part 3 and re-dubbed the first two parts accordingly. Part 3, consisting of eight episodes, was released on July 19, 2019; the first two episodes of part 3 also had a limited theatrical release in Spain on July 18, 2019. Filming of Part 4 ended in August 2019 and premiered on April 3, 2020.

The fifth and final volume will be split into two volumes, the first half premiered on September 3, 2021 and the second half premiered on December 3, 2021.
