Fairy Tale Favorites (アカデミー和英童話全集 Akademi Waei Dōwa Zenshū), known as My Favorite Fairy Tales when released on VHS in the U.S., is a 10-episode anime series dubbed to English by Saban Entertainment in 1986.
Dubbing history
The original Japanese release was as a tool for learning English. Each tape contained one episode in both Japanese and English, featuring a rudimentary dub acted by American and British expats living in Japan. It is not known which year the series was originally produced, but it was before 1986.
The Saban version was one of their earliest dubs. Aside from the ten episodes (which included the racially-insensitive "Little Black Sambo"), four shorts from Toei's World Famous Fairy Tale Series were added to the VHS release. These were not included with any international releases of the package.
