El-Hazard (エルハザード, Eru Hazādo) is a popular anime series created by Hiroki Hayashi and Ryoe Tsukamura and produced by AIC.

El-Hazard: The Magnificent World (神秘の世界エルハザード, Shinpi no Sekai Eru Hazādo) is a seven-episode OVA series directed by Hiroki Hayashi and produced by AIC. It is the first installment of the franchise, released between 1995 to 1996.

Synopsis

Ancient ruins have been discovered beneath Makoto’s high school, but he has bigger things to deal with. He has evidence that the conniving Student Council President, Jinnai, is guilty of election fraud! But before Makoto gets his chance to testify, a strange light from the ruins transports Makoto, Jinnai, Jinnai’s sister Nanami, and their history teacher Fujisawa, to a mysterious land... the Magnificent World of El-Hazard.There, these four unwitting travelers find a world split by forces of good and evil, where giant insects known as the Bugrom battle against humanity, and beautiful priestesses use magic to harness the power of the elements. Nothing in El-Hazard seems to make sense, but one thing is clear: they’re caught in the middle of a fantastical war with no way home!

El-Hazard 2: The Magnificent World (神秘の世界 エルハザード 第2期, Shinpi no Sekai Eru Hazādo Dai Ni Kai) is a four-episode OVA sequel to the El-Hazard OVA series, released in 1997.

Synopsis

Peace finally settles upon Roshtaria and the long-awaited wedding between Fujisawa and Miz is about to begin. But where's the groom? Makoto begins another adventure, this time to a mysterious forest in search of the elusive Fujisawa.Meanwhile, Jinnai discovers Kalia, another Demon God, and seeks the secret power of the Shrine in his quest for world domination! The secret of the forest and shrine is revealed as El-Hazard faces annihilation once again!

El-Hazard: The Wanderers, known in Japan as simply, El-Hazard (エルハザード, Eru Hazādo), is a TV anime series that is a retelling of the El-Hazard OVA. It aired on TV Tokyo from October 6, 1995 to March 29, 1996.

Synopsis

Makoto always upstages Jinnai without trying, which only aggravates the delusional rivalry that Jinnai has concocted within his own mind. However, when Jinnai attempts to sabotage Makoto's newest invention, the machine creates a dimensional rift and throws Makoto, Jinnai, and several others from their school into a strange, new world that is filled with amazing creatures, beautiful sights, and dangerous enemies. If they ever want to get home, it's going to take wits, courage, and a lot of luck!

El-Hazard: The Alternative World (異次元の世界エルハザード, Ijigen no Sekai Eru Hazādo, lit. "A Parallel World to El-Hazard") is a thriteen episode TV series that follows-up after the events of El-Hazard 2. The anime aired on TV Tokyo in 1998.

Synopsis

A new Priestess of Water has arrived! Her name is Qawool Towles, and though she's only 17, everyone (except for Shayla-Shayla) welcomes her with open arms. But during her initiation ceremony, a mysterious entity named Arjah appears and transports them all to an alternate world!Now, Makoto and the others are stranded all over again in a strange new kingdom called Creteria. It's a bleak, industrial realm ruled by a despot named Dall. If they ever want to make it back to El-Hazard, they'll have to figure out the secret behind an ancient artifact called the Spring of Life. And they'd better do it fast, because the spring seems to be dying...
