Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins (新七龍珠 神龍的傳說, Xīn qī lóng zhū Shén lóng de chuán shuō; lit. '"New Dragon Ball: The Legend of Shenlong") is an unofficial 1991 Taiwanese live-action remake of the first Dragon Ball film The Legend of Shenlong (known as Dragon Ball: Curse of the Blood Rubies in the English version) made in 1986.
It was produced in Taiwan and shot in Nantou forests, with some scenes shot in Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden, Thailand.

- Due to the movies' creation without the authorization of Shueisha, Toei, or Akira Toriyama, the characters names are changed in the dub. Even despite being marketed with their original title, the Dragon Balls are referred to as "Dragon Pearls".
