Dougal and the Blue Cat (Pollux et le Chat Bleu) is a film based on The Magic Roundabout. It was released in France in December 1970 and its English version, narrated by Eric Thompson like the original series, was released in 1972.

Synopsis

Life at the Magic Roundabout is disrupted when a blue cat called Buxton finds his way into town. Everyone loves Buxton except for Dougal, who discovers the cat's mad plan to become the king of blue army and destroy all who are not blue.

  • This was the only dub of The Magic Roundabout to have more than one actor in the cast not counting the Pinwheel dub of the series.
  • As the negative for the English version was supposedly damaged, the DVD release recreated the English titles.
  • The opening music is out of sync in the English version, most likely due to the opening credits being shortened.
