Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness (魔界戦記ディスガイア Makai Senki Disugaia, lit. "Netherworld Battle Chronicle: Disgaea") is the PSP port of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. It was localized and released in the US by NIS America, Nippon Ichi's local branch. The game features an all new "Etna Mode", with a brand new dub. It was released on November 30, 2006 in Japan, October 30, 2007 in North America and on December 14, 2007 in Europe.

- Due to Etna's voice actor changing between games, all of her dialogue from the base game was re-recorded, to maintain consistency with Etna Mode.
- Since Vulcanus's original voice actor died, his dialogue also had to be re-recorded.
