Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning is a Japanese anime adventure film produced by Toei Animation and animated by Yumeta Company. The film was released in Japanese theaters on October 5, 2023.

- Most of the cast from the original series, Adventure tri. and Last Evolution Kizuna, return to reprise their roles for The Beginning.
- Brian Donovan and Neil Kaplan returned to voice Davis Motomiya and Hawkmon respectively after previously missing the opportunity to do so during the previous film (both due to having technical difficulties in their home studios at the time).
- Christopher Swindle replaced Paul St. Peter as Wormmon and Stingmon. Paul was asked to reprised the role(s), he respectfully declined due to the dub being non-union.
- Erin Yvette replaced Kate Higgins as Angewomon (despite Higgins reprising the role as Gatomon). Erin voiced Gatomon and Angewomon in the reboot series Digimon Adventure:.
- Kate Higgins used a very notably higher pitched voice performing as Gatomon compared to the previous films such as the tri, series and Last Evolution Kizuna. The voice placement sounds closer to a similar character Meicoomon that she previously voiced.
- An unknown actor replaced Jamieson Price as Angemon for unknown reasons.
- This is one of the very few new non-union dubs Brian Donovan makes exceptions to participate in.
- A.J. Beckles was also previously in Digimon Adventure: as Yamato "Matt" Ishida.
