Digimon Adventure: (デジモンアドベンチャー：, Dejimon Adobenchā:) is the eighth anime series of the Digimon franchise and the serves as an alternate retelling of the first original Digimon Adventure anime. The anime premiered on April 5, 2020 and ended on September 26, 2021.

In February 2022, it was announced that the series would receive an English dub. All 67 episodes of the dub were made available for purchase on the Microsoft Store on April 13, 2023 and was released on Hulu on July 1, 2023.

Synopsis In the year 2020, technology is everywhere. Every digital device around the world is connected by a singular network where data travels. Unbeknownst to humans, this network has become home to life forms known as "Digimon." Fifth-grader Taichi Yagami is preparing for summer camp when strange occurrences begin in Tokyo; certain electronic systems have started going haywire. When he discovers that his sister and mother are trapped on an unstoppable train, he rushes to the nearby station. Suddenly, Taichi is transported to another world where he meets a strange creature by the name of Agumon, who somehow already knows his name. Taichi also receives a strange device called a "Digivice," which allows him to communicate with the undigitized world. Taichi discovers he is in the "Network," and virus-like Digimon are attacking the areas that maintain Tokyo’s electronic systems. It is up to Taichi and his new partner Agumon to stop these cyberattacks before the whole world is threatened by the actions of mischievous Digimon.

Notes

• It is the first anime in the franchise to not feature any of the original English cast of the main characters due to the series being a reboot. Additionally, all recurring and guest roles are being performed by new actors with the exception of Cutemon with Ben Diskin reprising the role, He portrayed a different Cutemon from Fusion.
• This is the first Digimon anime series where the English dub retains the Japanese BGM score/Insert songs. Interestingly, also the first time opening and ending songs received official English cover versions, 3 of the ending songs didn't received the same treatment and are omitted from the English dub due to licensing issues.
• In contrast to the partner Digimon whom retained the original Japanese cast from the previous Adventure series with the exception of Gatomon (Tailmon in the Japanese version), the partner Digimon will be performed by the new English cast with a few of them voiced their Digivolution forms too.
  • In retrospect, Ben Diskln noting his casting as Agumon is him basically pulling a reverse Chika Sakamoto as she portrayed Agumon first before Shoutmon.
  • In similar veins to the original Adventure dub, a different actor performed the Digivolution forms of the partner Digimon i.e. Chris Hackney voiced Angemon and his Digivolutions rather than Lizzie Freeman who voiced Patamon.
• This is Brittany Lauda's first and so-far only anime dub at Studiopolis.
• This is the first Digimon TV series to not feature Richard Epcar, Michael Sorich, Robert Martin Klein, and Kirk Thornton in any VO role. All 4 actors were notable to have a VO role in past dubbed Digimon TV series.
• It's also the second Digimon TV series to not feature Derek Stephen Prince since Digimon Data Squad.
