Dark Gathering

Dark Gathering (ダークギャザリング, Dāku Gyazaringu) is a 2023 horror anime series based on the manga with the same name written and illustrated by Kenichi Kondo. It was serialized and published in Shueisha's Jump Square magazine under their Jump Comics SQ. imprint on March 4, 2019.

The anime series was announced July 26, 2022.^[1] It was animated by OLM Team Masuda, directed by Hiroshi Ikehata, series composition by Shigeru Murakoshi, music composed by Kohta Yamamoto, Shun Narita, & Yūsuke Seo, and it premiered in Japan from July 10, 2023 to December 25, 2023, consisting of 25 episodes.

Sentai Filmworks licensed and produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on HIDIVE's streaming service on December 10, 2023.^[2] The Blu-ray of the series was released on July 20, 2024.

Hulu added the series on their stream service on July 3, 2024.^[3]

Synopsis

After a devastating encounter with a restless spirit, ghost-fearing psychic Keitaro Gentoga became a shut-in to avoid additional spectral catastrophes. But no man is a haunted island, and Keitaro eventually reintegrates with society by getting a part-time job as a tutor to the child prodigy Yayoi Houzuki. Yayoi isn’t just an academic genius, though. She’s a talented psychic medium hell-bent on finding the malevolent spirit behind her mother’s disappearance, and she’s gravely determined to drag Keitaro into her terrifying world of grotesque supernatural phenomenon.
