Cells at Work! is a 2018 anime series based on the manga series with the same name written and illustrated by Akane Shimizu.
The anime series was announced in January 2018. Both seasons were animated by David Production, while the first season was directed by Kenichi Suzuki, and the second season by Hirofumi Ogura. It ran the first season in Japan from July 8, 2018 to September 29, 2018, consisting of 13 episodes, with a special titled "The Common Cold: that aired on December 27, 2018. The second season of the series titled Cells At Work!! premiered from January 9, 2021 to February 27, 2021, consisting of 8 episodes.
Aniplex of America produced an English dub of the series with Bang Zoom! Studios, which was released on home video on August 27, 2019[1]. It was added to Funimation's streaming service on February 24, 2020[2]. The second season's English Dub premiered on Funimation on April 29, 2021[3][4].
