ONA

Category dedicated to anime series that are Original Net Animation (ONA)/Web Anime.

It is a term coined in Japan to refer to anime created to be released directly on the Internet. It is a relatively new form of anime distribution, not yet fully adopted, but becoming prevalent thanks to the growing number of sites dedicated to the distribution of multimedia content over the Internet in Japan. Its name derives from the term original video animation (OVA), a term that has been used in the anime industry for animation released directly to video since the early 1980s.
