Castle Town Dandelion (城下町のダンデライオン, Jōkamachi no Danderaion) is a 2015 anime series based on the 4-Panel manga series with the same name written and published by Ayumu Kasuga. It was serialized and published in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Miracle! magazine & Comic Fuz (2020 - present) in June of 2012.

The anime series was announced on November 13, 2014.[1] It was animated by Production IMS, directed by Noriaki Akitaya, series composed by Reiko Yoshida, music composed by Natsumi Tabuchi, Shū Kanematsu, & Takashi Ōmama, and it aired originally Japan from July 2, 2015 to September 17, 2015, consisting of 12 episodes.

The series was licensed in Australia by Hanabee, and in the UK by Anime Limited. FUNimation Entertainment licensed the series in the United and produced an English Dub, which was released in the Blu-ray + DVD combo release on November 15, 2016.[2][3]

Crunchyroll streamed the series on their streaming service in the United States and Canada on March 29, 2018, and left the site on November 9, 2018 after Funimation and Crunchyroll ended their partnership.[4][5]

Synopsis

Akane, a princess with the power to control gravity, competes against her eight super-powered siblings for a spot on the throne. The catch? Each would-be ruler will be monitored by hundreds of video cameras that broadcast their every move nationwide. As the royal siblings live their lives, their subjects will watch and eventually vote for a winner. Will camera-shy Akane be able to keep her cool?
