Beast (also known as Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy) is a fictional character and superhero from Marvel comics, and a member of the X-Men and a genius despite his animal-like appearance.
Beast was created by the late Stan Lee and the late Jack Kirby, and first appeared in X-Men #1 (September 1963).
