Aria the Animation (アリア) is an anime television series directed by Junichi Sato and aired on TV Tokyo from October 5, 2005 to December 28, 2005. The series is based on the manga of the same name by Kozue Amano. Right Stuf licensed the anime and released it on DVD in 2008. On August 12, 2017, they had launched a Kickstarter to fund an English dub produced by Headline Sound Studios for $110,000 and successfully reached their goal on August 17, 2017. The Kickstarter ended on September 11, 2017, at $595,976 from 2,648 backers. The English dub was released to backers of the Kickstarter on August 29, 2018, followed by a general release on March 3, 2020.
Synopsis
When Akari Mizunashi travels to the city of Neo-Venezia on the planet of Aqua, the beauty of the city is beyond anything she’s ever seen before.
