Appleseed: Ex Machina, known in Japan as E.X. Machina (エクスマキナ Ekusu Makina) is a computer-animated anime film directed by Shinji Aramaki and produced by John Woo. It was originally released in Japan on October 20, 2007 and premiered in the United States at the Jules Verne Adventures Film Festival in Los Angeles on December 15, 2007. The film's English language version premiered on February 22, 2008 at WonderCon 2008 and was released on Blu-Ray and DVD by Warner Bros. on March 11, 2008.
