Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian, also abbreviated as Roshidere (ロシデレ), is a 2024 anime series based a Japanese light novel series with the same name written by SunSunSun and illustrated by Momoco. It was originally published online as two short stories on the novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō from May 6 to May 27, 2020, respectively. It was then acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who have published the series since February 2021 under their Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint. A manga adaptation by Saho Tenamachi began serialization online in Kodansha's Magazine Pocket app and website in October 2022.

The anime series was announced on March 17, 2023. It was animated by Doga Kobo, directed by Ryota Itoh, and it premiered in Japan on July 3, 2024. The second season of the anime was announced on September 18, 2024[1].

Crunchyroll licensed and produced an English Dub of the series, which premiered on its streaming service onm July 24, 2024[2].

Synopsis

Alya is a transfer student enjoying popularity at her new high school, often sporting a cold shoulder while earning high marks in class. She ignores her nerdy classmate, Kuze Masachika, except for when she blurts out a flirtatious line to him in Russian. Little does she know, Kuze understands Russian, though he pretends not to. Let’s see where this wacky love story takes them!
