3x3 Eyes (サザンアイズ Sazan Aizu) is a 4-episode OVA series based on the manga series of the same name by Yuzo Takada. The series was produced by Toei Animation and was released from July 25, 1991 to May 19, 1992. The series was first distributed in North America by Streamline Pictures in 1994.

Synopsis

A demon girl's quest to become human, with the help of an unwitting boy named Yakumo.

Dubbing History[]

The series was originally licensed by Streamline Pictures. In 1994 they released a Perfect Collection VHS that contained all four episodes of the series on one tape.

In 2000, the series was licensed by Geneon Entertainment. They produced a new English dub that was directed and localized by Greg Weisman of Gargoyles and Young Justice fame. Weisman even brought in much of the main cast from Gargoyles to do voices in the dub. Homages to Gargoyles were also added for the dub.

Both dubs would also continue into the second OVA series.
